About

McKenna Glorioso is a musician and educator based in Cleveland with degrees in Violin Performance from McGill University and the Cleveland Institute of Music. McKenna is a versatile musician, equally comfortable recording violin, viola, keyboard, or vocals in the studio, performing in a symphony, leading their string quartet Ensemble Mercury, composing their own electronic music, or jamming with a band at a local dive bar.

In 2023, McKenna joined the national tour for “Our Planet: Live in Concert,” performing over 50 shows and traveling to over 30 states in just three months. Later that year they joined the Akron Symphony Orchestra, where they are now a tenured Rotating First Violin. McKenna is an in-demand studio musician, recording tracks for Ohio-based musicians including Lauren Lanzaretta, Wish Queen, Songs for an Unknown God, and Tosca Abigail.

As an instructor, McKenna has taught on faculty at Rainey Institute and The Music Settlement, which fostered a belief in accessible music education for all and a deep connection to the Cleveland community. They made their debut as a curator, composer, and producer in 2023 with an installation for Maelstrom Collaborative Arts’ Cadre showcase.
